Otis-Bison attended the 2016 Math Relay this year with Mr. Zarzutzki coaching. The 10th grade team consisted of Anton, Hannah, and Kaleigh. The 11th grade team was the 3 11th graders was a rotation of those that did not compete individually some of the events.
Tanner Welsh placed 2nd out of 62 in Number Sense, 5th out of 69 in the Algebraic Manipulations and 10th out of 73 in Informal Geometry.
Dylan Jecha placed 2nd out of 82 in the 12 Grade Trigonometry.
Kendall Steinert was 11th out of 47 in 9th Grade Number Sense.
Maddie Wiltse was 11th out of 46 in Calculations with Calculators.
In Algebra Applications, the 10th Grade team placed 9 out of 26 teams.
Overall we finished 7th out of the 22 1A schools there. We finished with 15 points with other local schools as follows: LaCrosse (5), Ness City (7), Russell (2), Ellinwood (0), Great Bend (15), Hays (36), and Central Plains (24).
