FHSU Annual High School Art Expedition

Today some of Otis-Bison High School art students taught by Mrs. Schultz attended the 48th Annual High School Art Expedition at Fort Hays State University.

They brought a number of their art pieces in a variety of media forms to be judged for participation.

Many students were awarded certificates which will be announced and display at the Otis-Bison open house on May 3rd.

The students began the day by loading all the art work onto their assigned table. It's a mad rush amongst the other 59 attending schools this year to get everything hung and hooked properly. A non destructive green tape was attached to the back of several pieces to keep them from swinging and swaying on the pin board.

After the art work was hung the students had the chance to visit a side walk chalk event and various exhibits in the art center.

Following that was lunch at Thirsty's. After lunch the students had to rush to load everything back up to bring home. For the drive home we made a quick stop at Sonic for drinks and then back in time for the final bell.

Here are a few photos from the event, along with a link to a 3d scan of the display.
